Remote/work from home Controls Engineering position with 25% travel!
Description:

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this Controls Engineer position include, but are not limited to:

  • PLC programming

  • HMI... programming

  • On-site startups (both local & non-local) (20-25% travel)

  • Generate electrical drawings

  • Create technical documents

  • Provide technical expertise on bids/proposals

  • Small to mid-size project management

  • Customer interface

  • Interface with internal resources (Business Development, Manufacturing, Operations)

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4-year degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university

  • 5 years of experience in a related industry

  • PLC programming experience

  • On-site start-up experience

Preferred:

  • 7+ years of experience in a related industry

  • Degree from a nationally recognized engineering school

  • Project management experience

  • Allen Bradley PLC programming experience

  • Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 79, UL508A)

  • Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA 1910)

  • Mechanical interest

Desired:

  • Experience working as a consultant

  • Experience with a large manufacturing firm

  • Leadership experience

  • Robotics programming experience
