Girls Write Now is the first writing and mentoring organization for girls and gender expansive youth. We are an expansive, passionate, and multi-generational community with a 25 year track record of success. The following positions, all rooted in writing, mentoring, equity and wellness, will lead Girls Write Now through a heavy period of growth as we build a powerhouse of unheard voices across industries.

GIRLS WRITE NOW... COMMUNITY MANAGER (WRITING 360 FOCUS):
Working closely with the Community team, the Community Manager (Writing 360 focus) will be the lead manager of the Writing 360 Program, Girls Write Now’s flagship writing and mentoring program. The Community Manager must have experience working with youth while also having a strong interest in engaging and managing adults. Key Responsibilities include enrollment, pair management, workshop production, program evaluation, and staff management. The Community Manager will be responsible for both maintaining the history and integrity of our Girls Write Now’s programs while also contributing to its evolution and expansion.
This position also requires experience in digital and analogue curriculum development, working in collaboration with the Director of Curriculum and Engagement and a roster of teaching artists with diverse areas of expertise. The ideal candidate has a college degree and at least 5 years of professional work under their belt, including a track record and honed skills for managing people and experience and enthusiasm for hosting workshops, salons, and other events. Candidates must be looking to make Girls Write Now their new “home” for, at a minimum, the next 3-5 years.
GIRLS WRITE NOW COMMUNITY MANAGER (PUBLISHING 360 FOCUS):
Working closely with the Community and Marketing teams, the Community Manager (Publishing 360 focus) will be the lead manager and ambassador of our new Publishing 360 Program, an outgrowth of Girls Write Now’s flagship writing and mentoring program with a focus on advanced audio, visual, and editorial curriculum. This is a pilot program that will evolve and grow throughout the year and beyond.
The Community Manager must have experience working with youth while also having a strong interest in engaging and managing adults. Key Responsibilities include enrollment, pair management, workshop production, program evaluation, and staff management.
This position also requires strong digital curriculum development and teaching, working in collaboration with the Director of Curriculum and Engagement and a roster of teaching artists with diverse areas of expertise. Ideally, the candidate has experience and enthusiasm for hosting workshops, salons, and other events.
This Community Manager is integral to the organization’s new publishing platform as a mechanism for growth. A strong editorial sense is crucial as they will oversee the Stories section of the website and co-lead the Editorial Team.
