What You’ll Get To Do

As a Business Development Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams of solutions directors, engineers, creatives, and technology leaders to consult our customers and identify opportunities to launch our SaaS and Deployment Solutions offerings for state Departments of Transportation and Municipalities. Our products are powering the next generation of traffic management software solutions and the... data we collect and generate can be used to improve safety and define new standards for how DOTs share and collaborate

  • Use industry and customer knowledge, competitive intelligence, and market research to identify and pre-market opportunities with our customers
  • Develop and refine a strategy to convert opportunities into successful wins
  • Perform market analysis of competitive activity related to capture opportunities; work with analytics and research to inform business and product strategy to improve outcomes; use knowledge base to differentiate Panasonic offering and influence procurement when possible
  • Understand creative partnership and teaming arrangements to increase the customer value of each opportunity
  • Lead our team through the proposal response process to best communicate value and differentiate our offering from competitors; create and integrate win themes into compelling proposal narrative
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to ensure the product roadmap aligns with broader business objectives and influence those objectives through product and market expertise

What You’ll Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Proven track record of consultative business development working with sales and marketing teams; Cloud-based, SaaS and digital technologies experience a major plus
  • Experience in B2B and/or B2G opportunity capture and conversion – including complex teaming arrangements when applicable
  • Organizational skillset to lead and manage a team through long-cycle procurements and proposal response process (RFQ, RFP, etc.)
  • Proficiency in performing competitive landscape and market analysis; history working with research, marketing, sales and leadership teams to improve differentiate value proposition based on this knowledge
  • Passion for the big picture and effectiveness in the details necessary to get there
  • Entrepreneurial attitude focused on value, quality, and continuous feedback and learning
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working with technical, creative, and business stakeholders
  • Practical experience using data and reporting to drive business decisions, outcomes, and KPIs; produce and manage an accurate business forecast
