Athabasca University’s Faculty of Business is seeking an Assistant Professor in Finance. Candidates with the ability to teach in areas of corporate finance, derivatives, empirical finance are preferred. Job Requirements Successful candidates will hold a doctorate in Finance and have a combination of demonstrated excellence in teaching and research. The candidate will also hold significant industry experience. Experience with delivery of online learning is preferred and a keen interest in, and willingness to use, this pedagogy is essential. Experience teaching all three levels (undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels) including supervising doctoral students, is an asset. Successful candidates will also be competent in the use of computing technology, demonstrate strong research skills, innovative approaches to teaching, and be able to make significant contributions to the development of the Faculty’s academic programs. The core duties and responsibilities of The Training Administrative Assistant revolve around supporting the Training team. Their job tasks or duties can vary widely, not just from job to job, but from day to day at the same job. On any given day, they may perform a variety of tasks, such as: Coordinate and track all activities for New Hire Orientation (NHO) and Promotion Training. Including but not limited to: § Coordinate list of promotion training participants with Work Force Management (WFM) § Coordinate NHO monthly projections with Training Manager & Recruitment § Address trainer availability challenges with Training Manager § Send training invitations, and support material links to all training participants § Keep detailed records of all invitations, enrollments and communication § Create attendance lists § Track web and instructor-led session completion progress, particularly start, first-day attendance, and completion § Report interpreters who do not start promotion...
