What does the job entail?

  • Prepare monthly financial statements – including general ledger review, monthly journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and P&

L account schedules – and provide a detailed review and variance analysis, while ensuring they are properly stated, and all supporting schedules are valid

  • Perform monthly... close
  • Complete and review monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare escalation billings
  • Analyze and review bad debt reserves with property teams, adjusting as necessary
  • Analyze lease commissions, tenant allowances, and other capital items for proper classification and appropriateness
  • Attend and participate in monthly team meetings and market calls
  • Interact with A/R, Property Management, Asset Managers, etc.
  • Review of A/P coding and descriptions
  • Assist with bank loan draw preparation for tenant improvement costs
  • Prepare reimbursement billings to managed entities
  • May be requested to complete ad hoc duties (Prepare budgets, re-forecasts, and cash projections, assist with treasury functions, assist with audits, etc.)

What are the required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting
  • Real estate/corporate accounting a plus
  • Experience with Yardi a plus
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience a must
  • Ability to work well in a team setting while understanding the necessity of clear communication and coordination
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Must be a results-driven team player
