The HR Compensation and M&A Manager for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences are responsible for serving as a subject matter professional in the areas of compensation and our global career & rewards framework (‘GCRF’) and leading the end-to-end HR lifecycle of mergers and acquisitions - from due diligence through post-merger integration. This person will play a meaningful role in defining the company’s HR M&A strategy and processes to support our continued growth. Compensation

Advise HR business partners and business leaders on employee compensation-related matters such as pay adjustments, job leveling, and offers for strategic new hires and promotions.

Perform proactive data analytics to support various compensation assessments initiatives and provide recommendations to HR and business leadership.

Perform ad-hoc market pricing and pay range analysis to advise compensation structures.

Manage the annual compensation planning process to include performance-related salary increases, incentive compensation payments, and annual equity grants. Partner with the HR team to ensure salary changes and/or incentive compensation plan participant data is accurately reflected in Workday systems.

Apply Danaher’s Global Career and Reward Framework, providing guidance to the organization around job mapping and leveling. Stay connected to Danaher Total Rewards initiatives and drive understanding and adoption within BEC LS. M&A

Work collaboratively with the functional workstream leaders, Business Development and Corporate Development, and Danaher HR M&A on HR due diligence, integration planning, execution, project management, escalating, and resolving issues.

Identify risk exposures in the following areas: HR due diligence, compensation & benefits plans, CBA agreements, people-related compliance, and retention.

Focus on culture, organization structure (current vs. future if will differ and talent planning to fill gaps), and talent assessment

Coordinate with Danaher HR M&A and the rest of the team (workstream leaders and Business/Corp Development) on the development and implementation of any retention plan:

Participate in deal calls, HR calls with the target, onsite visits (as needed), and keep pace with the deal

Data room review and analysis

Identify material risks that will affect the ROIC model and potential deal price and alert the appropriate functions (finance, tax, legal, etc.)

Draft and edit HR report and other reports out templates, with support from Danaher HR M&A team

Lead in mapping out integration work, timing, and resources and ensure integration work is completed on time

Coordinate vital deal-related communications support with other BEC LS Communication team or Marketing resource(s) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent through experience required

Minimum 12 years of relevant human resources generalist, compensation, or M&A experience

Deep knowledge of local employment laws

Demonstrable track record in managing or significant involvement in core HR processes such as Annual Salary & Equity Planning, Organizational Design, Talent Assessment, and Leadership Planning

Ideally has knowledge in salary structures and pay grades

Candidate must have excellent verbal, written, listening, and influence skills and be able to present facts clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization

Possess strong time management and organizational skills

Candidate must have solid team skills, the ability to build relationships, and be able to work efficiently and effectively with associates at all levels of the organization

Proven experience working with confidential or sensitive information

Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft office tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint
