• *Summary**

The Safety Manager is responsible for managing safety, health, and security processes and providing leadership to employee safety and health issues at large distribution & Transportation locations. This position is be responsible for monitoring compliance with regulatory agencies as well as... internal Ryder safety and health requirements. Position will support operational personnel to ensure that continuous improvement systems are in place to drive positive results relative to employee safety programs, safety compliance, worker's compensation and injury/collision experience.

• *REMOTE work from HOME Within in the EAST Region**
• *Essential Functions**

• Oversight of multiple facilities and travel will be involved.

• Support administrative team relative to leadership of SHS issues.

• Coordinate employee and management SHS training and development needs.

• Coordinates facility safety/security related occurrence root cause investigations and implement appropriate corrective actions.

• *Additional Responsibilities**

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• *Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree required in Safety or Health or equivalent experience

• Two (2) years or more in business with direct employee management required

• Two (2) years or more in management of employee safety and health issues or a working knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulatory standards is preferred required

• *Travel:** 40-50%
• *DOT Regulated:** No
