Position: Director, Business Strategy, Commercial Real Estate (Remote)

The Business Development & Alliances team is responsible for helping accelerate the growth and monetization of Matterport by identifying, executing and managing partnerships and strategic initiatives in collaboration with product and other cross-functional teams.

Matterport is looking to hire a Director, Business Strategy, Commercial Real Estate to play a critical role in developing and driving Matterport adoption and usage within the commercial real estate market, including multi-family residential. Our future business strategy teammate will be responsible for formulating a global go to market strategy, working alongside a cross-functional set of product, sales and marketing teams.

Our ideal candidate has worked within the industry for one of our key target customer or partner types and is a structured, analytical thinker through both training and experience.

Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA., our workforce is... remote which gives you the freedom to work anywhere within the U.S. This position reports directly to the VP of Business Development & Alliances.

Responsibilities

Identify the highest impact market opportunities within promotional use cases and formulate go to market strategies in collaboration with product, sales and marketing teams

Collaborate with in-country, market business development leads to inform and guide strategy based on global context

Work cross-functionally with product and engineering to ensure a common approach and prioritization in enabling features and capabilities to meet customer needs in the promotional use case vertical.

Work alongside the marketing, direct sales and channel sales team to implement our go to market playbooks, leveraging our industry specific specialists in each sales team

Work alongside sales engineering and sales enablement teams to identify and create foundational documentation detailing state of affairs reports for the promotional use case vertical to guide organizational action.

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in a technically related field; MBA or a JD is a plus

7+ years of business strategy or operational experience within commercial/multi-family real estate, either at a commercial real estate services company, brokerage, portal or similar company focused on the space

Proven ability to operate in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment, providing thought leadership and market context to drive consensus and reach key decisions

Strong analytical skills with the ability to build strategy, frameworks around and optimize go to market strategy using a metrics-driven approach

Ability to financially model and project returns on new initiatives and efforts

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills

Strong personal initiative with proven ability to execute with little supervision and adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
