Staff Engineer - Water

will join the Westfield MA or Middletown CT office (hybrid remote work is expected after Labor Day) and will collaborate with professionals and will serve as an integral part of the project teams delivering engineering solutions to our clients throughout the Northeast.

Qualifications:

BS degree (MS Preferred) in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is encouraged.

Internship or work experience in engineering design, survey, permitting, and/or construction observation preferred

Graduate research experience in water and... wastewater fields preferred

Experience with computer modeling software, hydraulic/hydrologic studies, and/or AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities:

Execute civil, water, and/or wastewater engineering design tasks including development of drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for bidding and construction

Perform construction observation on municipal infrastructure projects (sewer, storm drain, water, roads) including contractor conformance with design drawings and specifications, measurement of installed quantities, shop drawing review, coordination with City/Town staff and residents, and preparation of daily reports

Participate in project decisions regarding technical approach, cost, and scheduling performance

Work on a team of professionals to support design projects
