The South Asia Business Development and Programs will lead all sales & commercial activities for Digital in South Asia covering the entire value chain and all digital offerings for Wabtec . He/she will coordinate with Global Digital teams and will partner horizontally with the Sales organization.

He/she will be expected to champion messaging and educate customers / key stakeholders on Onboard Products , enterprise solutions ( Signaling, Train Management , Real Time Monitoring of Rolling stock …) and our integrated offering effectively with respective target markets and to partner with cross-functional teams in the evolution of new Wabtec capabilities.

He/she will also possess experience and competencies to:

  • Develop strong rapport and collaboration with key stakeholders, including sales leaders that work for the respective Wabtec vertical lines of business to deliver comprehensive solution sales across the vertical lines of business . Create a dynamic work atmosphere to motivate cross functional teams to support digital initiatives
  • Drive coordination for the effective management of Strategic Accounts and ensure customer satisfaction goals are achieved
  • Obtain and maintain a strong business understanding of Digital solutions , value propositions and future development roadmaps, and foster close relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Define, build and implement a Digital commercial strategy; Go To Market strategy and execute it by closely working with business teams, customers and partners
  • Create and develop new markets for products , solutions & services; lead and set the tone for the segment
  • Lead the Program Management of medium to large projects in terms of execution that includes contract management and stake holder management.

Desired Characteristics

  • The ideal candidate will have a 15-20 experience in Digital sales operations and strategic sales leadership in enterprise solutions.
  • Proven sales leadership experience gained within an industrial company with innovative technology
  • Experience should include responsibility for B2B direct and channel customer base for Rail Segment
  • He/she must have well-developed strategic planning skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully work in a complex matrix sales organization
  • He/she must be able to effectively challenge the status quo and network both upwards and downwards within an organization, while being mindful of and sensitive to cultural differences that may exist across global boundaries.
  • He/she must have demonstrated ability to implement innovation and drive transformation
  • Ability to develop influential customer relationships, plans, sales strategies, presentations, and proposals

Key Skills
Strong sales team leadership skills with a successful sales growth track record.

Project/Program management experience would be preferred
Strong customer mindset
Strong influence and negotiation skills
Understanding of Wabtec and customer financial drivers / needs
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively lead a multi-functional team and operate in a matrix organization
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Knowledge of market economics, competitive issues, technology and projects
