Associate Community Manager

Flickr is looking for a creative, empathetic, and skilled communicator to join our community team as an Associate Community Manager. This team focuses its efforts on encouraging moments of inspiration, connection, and sharing within the Flickr community. Because community is at the center of everything we do at Flickr, this team plays a pivotal role across the organization. In this role, you'll be a frequent collaborator with our product, support, trust and safety, marketing, and engineering teams, working together to deliver great experiences to Flickr members.

Your primary goal will be to help Flickr members feel a sense of belonging such that they develop a strong affinity for our product and—most importantly—the people in it. You'll identify interest groups on Flickr, help members discover their interests and others who share them, and encourage participation and sharing. You'll find ways to celebrate and amplify the positive interactions that occur and the inspiring content that... is shared on Flickr.

You Will

• Actively interact within the Flickr community to learn from members about the ways they use the product and the ways they connect with one another.
• Find opportunities to improve and increase these interactions, either through product or policy changes, promotions, or other activities.
• Help members navigate and use Flickr by crafting helpful resources, connecting with members in our help forum, and talking to them 1:1 to better understand their needs and obstacles.
• Elevate the work of Flickr members through our curation and editorial channels.
• Partner with marketing to make sure the world knows about the community interactions occurring on Flickr.
• Share community findings and results across the Flickr organization with the goal of building empathy and understanding of our member's wants and needs.

You Have

• 1-3 years of experience working directly with community members - either as a community manager, customer service specialist, or a related role.
• Helped manage an online community.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Remote work applies to select states: California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Utah, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
