Being an Automotive Customer Representative Agent:

As an Automotive Customer Service Representative, you ll be taking calls from customers of a leading American online used car retailer. You ll be the customers first line of contact, answering questions, triaging issues, and acting as a customer advocate within the scope of company policies and procedures.

This remote, flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $10.50/hour.

You ll be taking calls and making money from the comfort of your own home.

Hours of operation are 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET, Monday through Saturday. You ll have the flexibility to set your schedule within those hours of operation.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer incoming calls
  • Review customer history as necessary
  • Follow policy and procedure guidelines
  • Act as an advocate for each customer
  • Answer questions regarding product and company details; sales; and refunds, returns, and repairs
  • Identify customers needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Determine service requirements by working with customers
  • Answer questions regarding product and company details; sales; and refunds, returns, and repairs
  • Follow path of escalation and engage additional support as necessary
  • Place outbound as necessary to obtain needed information and/or resolve customer issues
  • Document information and outcomes as necessary

About You:

Prior customer service experience is required. In addition, successful Automotive Customer Service Representatives have the following characteristics:

  • Exceptional spoken and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills
  • Self-motivated and determined
  • Strong typing skills
  • Highly proficient in computer usage and navigating seamlessly between multiple applications
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices

To be an Automotive Customer Service Representative, you ll need a computer and equipment meeting the following specifications, at a minimum:

  • Internet: High-speed, hard-wired internet (no WiFi or satellite)
  • Operating System: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Mac OS X Lion (Version 10.7), Mountain Lion (Version 10.8), Mavericks (Version 10.9), Yosemite (Version 10.10), or El Capitan (Version 10.11)
  • Memory: 2GB of RAM
  • Monitor: Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1024 x 768 pixels
  • Sound: Sound card (standard on most computers)
  • Virus Protection: Up-to-date anti-virus software
  • Headset: USB noise-canceling headset
