What you'll do...
H&R Block is looking for a Sr UX Designer to reinvent our digital tax prep experiences. You will empower customers to connect to our tax professionals & complete their yearly tax returns through our mobile & web apps.
- Contribute to the end-to-end design outcomes within an agile squad structure
- Own medium to large size projects with some direction from the team lead.
- Lead the design process from discovery through delivery.
- Support the direction of the team lead while pushing for new & innovative ideas
- Seek & provide thoughtful and actionable feedback on in progress designs
- Create compelling presentations and design documentation that clearly communicates your outcomes
- Utilize and contribute to our design system to achieve consistency at scale
- Understand the user journey and remove client pain points
- Incorporate data, insights and user testing to fuel creative solutions
- Partner closely with product... managers & developers to ship refined experiences
- Incorporate modern, premium design and technology trends
What you'll bring to the team...
- 5+ years of product design experience
- BA/BS design degree (or 8-10 years of relevant work experience)
- Strong execution skills for Figma, Miro, Principle, Keynote
It would be even better if you also had...
- Experience designing digital products that have a human communication element
- Enthusiasm for the iterative design process, inspired by group critique
- Interaction design skillset to make our experience move
- Curious, open-minded, and ego-free. You have a growth mindset.
- Draw creative inspiration beyond websites, apps, and interfaces.
- A passion for simplifying complex problems and understand user’s needs
- Remote work option available; based in Kansas City with our design team preferred
