DescriptionThe Senior UX Designer is an empathetic design practitioner who applies user-centered research and design practices to create inspiring, innovative, easy-to-use products, while educating and motivating other designers to do the same.The Loyalty product team is accountable for inspiring Athletes to shop at DICK’S Sporting Goods through an enabling of the technology that drives our loyalty program. The Senior UX Designer on the Loyalty product team is responsible for driving the athlete experience for a specific set of products for DICK’S Sporting Goods throughout the athlete’s shopping journey online and in store. As the Senior UX Designer on this team, you are responsible for understanding our athletes’ needs and designing top-notch experiences that deliver the capabilities to bring our loyalty programs and personalization to life.In this role the Senior UX Designer will work side-by-side with a Product Manager to develop the strategy and roadmap that helps athletes find... the products they are looking for faster. The Senior UX Designer interacts with all functional areas of the company including Product Management, Engineering, Executive and Senior Leadership as well as Marketing and eCommerce Business stakeholders.The Senior UX Designer will seek out innovation in the research and design process to champion new digital experiences that dazzle customers while positively impacting the business. He / She will work in a fast-paced agile environment, collaborating closely with product managers and software engineers, where he / she will have a heightened level of awareness and understanding regarding business strategy and profitability, as well as software development practices.The Senior UX Designer will gather data insights to formulate strategic design decisions during all phases of the product development life cycle. His / Her presentation skills will be top notch, and he / she will be well-known for effective UX storytelling methods when communicating research and design findings.This is a full time remote opportunity.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesBegins developing management skills, actively coaching and developing junior and mid-level designers. Supports UX leadership by providing continuous feedback regarding the evolution of team process standards. Knows how to lead projects and execute research to gather the right insights needed to shape great digital experiences. Elicits qualitative and quantitative user feedback through usability testing, survey designs, user interviews, data analysis, heuristic evaluations, exploratory research methods, and other modern research practices. Utilizes industry standard design tools to create top quality user interfaces, customer interactions, and interactive prototypes. With top notch UI design skills, contributes to establishing, maintaining, and approving style guides and pattern libraries.QualificationsMaster's Degree, preferably in Design, Technology, or related field.4 - 7 years of relevant experience.Must have a digital portfolio that demonstrates user-centered research and design practices.Must provide at least 2 references who can tell us about the candidate’s awesome UX skills.Familiarity with modern industry standard design tools and UX research tools
