Senior Software Engineer- Machine Learning (Remote)

Essential Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer within CarMax Technology, you will be developing solutions to productionize and operationalize models as services for scalable consumption. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Technology teams, and Delivery Managers to deliver highly impactful capabilities that drive CarMax’s iconic omni-channel customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ back-end software-engineering experience in an enterprise-level environment
• 2+ years’ experience with microservices software architecture
• 2+ years' leading the end-to-end design and development of scalable services to be consumed by the enterprise, including monitoring and production support
• Intermediate-level programming skills in the Python language
• 2+ years’ experience building enterprise-level solutions with Microsoft... Azure or equivalent cloud technologies
• Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and test-driven development
• Excellent communication skills, adapting to various audience types
• Ability to positively influence peers, team culture, team operations, and technical roadmaps and coach more junior software engineers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Decision Sciences or equivalent area
• Intermediate-level programming skills in an object-oriented language (i.e. C#, Java) or proficient-level in the Python language
• Familiarity with industry-standard machine-learning Python libraries
• Experience on a fast-paced, highly collaborative agile team within a product-oriented organization
