full time infrastructure management product

Job Details

Company Description

We are looking for an extraordinary product leader who cares deeply about how software products are made. At Twitter, the Feature Infrastructure team works to abstract away the complexity of connecting clients to backend systems so that consumer teams are free to focus on what they are building rather than learning how to build it. Imagine being able to construct complex API integrations and data manipulations through a simple set of building blocks similar to how a design system speeds up user interface development. Our goal is to help consumer teams go from simple prototypes to Twitter-scale experiences while making their interactions with backend teams as efficient and seamless as possible.

This is a unique opportunity to define the future of feature development at Twitter.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

In partnership with a world-class team of distributed engineers, you will be responsible for developing, prioritizing, communicating, and executing on a... roadmap that accelerates feature development for all iOS, Android and Web engineers across Twitter.

Working closely with your own team and partnering with a diverse set of product teams from across Twitter, you will help us:

  • Craft our product strategy to simplify working with backend systems and make sure we are delivering prototyping tools that are self-serve, dependable, and can scale up into full production systems
  • Help to build, prioritize and execute on the full scope of the Feature Infrastructure roadmap
  • Sell our new product development process across a complex set of cross-functional customers and partners
  • Identify ways to turn these internal tools into a new, industry-leading way to build software products

Qualifications

Who You Are

You are a customer-focused product leader that’s passionate about large scale systems and data abstractions. You thrive in a complex stakeholder environment and can rally teams to deliver outstanding products. You bring both deep technical and PM leadership expertise, a strong intuition for business and decision making, and the ability to lead via influence.

If this sounds like it might be you, you probably have:

  • A history of building and shipping application infrastructure for global consumer products
  • Technical depth to quickly get up to speed with advanced engineering concepts and effectively drive complex infrastructure product decisions
  • Excellent structured-thinking and clear communication style, both in person and in writing
  • A knack for translating deep technical concepts for a variety of non-technical audiences
  • Strong quantitative background and empirical thinking skills
  • A rigorous approach to problem-solving
  • A strong customer-focus and a servant leadership approach to product management
  • Strong emotional-intelligence and deep seated empathy for both engineering teams and customers
  • Comfort and experience with leading through influence rather than authority
  • Ability to think strategically and craft a compelling product vision
  • Outstanding planning, collaboration, and organizational skills

Requirements

  • Experience managing products built on large-scale distributed systems or with a strong backend component
  • A track record of managing large scale infrastructure products in complex customer environments
  • Experience simultaneously supporting multiple teams that span several geographies
  • 5+ years of product management experience
