We are working with a client near Atlanta and they are looking for Payroll Consultant to fill an immediate need. This role will be 100% remote and they will consider candidates outside the immediate area. 10+ years of experience is required for this role. Core elements of this position include duties such as implementation support for payroll solutions, technical and end user training, support to Client Payroll Manager and Team as required, as well as proactive handling of client activities to guarantee retention of clients and their satisfaction.

  • Managing the implementation of new and existing payroll clients as they transition to EMS.
  • Collaborate with implementation group to oversee the transfer of prior payroll balances from clients' former payroll providers.
  • Establish a relationship with clients and ask appropriate questions to understand clients' business requirements.
  • Provide support to customers in finding solution to issues associated with payroll implementation via... clients meeting and conference phone calls.
  • Assist Payroll Manager with various payroll activities, including Payroll, Tax & Workers' Compensation, Tax Account registration/cancellation and tax payments.
  • Assist Payroll Team with year-end payroll activities, payroll processing and calculation of complex payroll transactions including severance and other termination payments.
  • Begin the process of understanding and becoming involved in the transition of larger payroll clients into the EMS business.
  • Work with and support existing Transition team members during a Transition project.
  • Work at client sites when appropriate to support Transition project, or short-term resourcing issues (local, interstate and international travel maybe required).
  • Impart payroll knowledge to transitioning client where required.
  • Other duties as directed.

Essential

  • Senior client service roles and staff leadership/management.
  • Extensive Payroll experience.
  • Payroll software packages.
  • Payroll legislation and awards knowledge.
  • Experience working within a high-volume environment.
  • Business process improvement focus (quality management, analyzing information and problem-solving experience).

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualified with business related discipline.
  • Proven experience within a similar role.
  • Managing a team of direct reports.
  • Knowledge of using a payroll and T&A systems (SAP, Oracle, ADP. Kronos, Workday and others).
  • Training.
