Job Description​
The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a Biostatistician for our Health Economics and Technology Assessment (HETA) Group. This position will work alongside other researchers, clinicians, senior biostatisticians and data management staff to support studies geared towards providing health economic insight into new therapies for the treatment of heart and vascular disease. The HETA group applies state-of-the-art analytic methods to complex data sets; many of the analytic approaches have been developed by our group. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn methods used in stochastic cost-effectiveness analysis. This role involves extensive data processing in the derivation of cost estimates that serve as outcomes for prediction models and cost-effectiveness estimation. The HETA group also carries out studies comparing quality of life outcomes over time between treatment alternatives and this position may also involve the application for... longitudinal data analysis methods. The position will play a key role in ensuring the validity of data and use of appropriate analytical methods throughout the life of a project.
Shift Details: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM
This position will have a hybrid work model with both in-person and remote days.
The Work:
We are seeking an experienced professional with a solid understanding of statistical theory and practice, preferably with experience in biostatistics, and exceptional statistical programming skills using SAS, R, SQL, etc. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues related to data processing and analysis to non-technical peers are essential to success in this position. This position often involves working within tight deadlines and requires flexibility as priorities between and within studies can fluctuate over time.
