Software Developer (Ruby on Rails)

Shop-Ware is looking for a talented full-stack Software Developer to join our integration team within our large Rails, PostgreSQL, sidekiq, Solr, Redis application. We offer a great team environment within a fully-remote culture, competitive compensation, PTO, and health/dental/vision insurance.

The role: In this role, you will join our Integrations Team (consisting of 3 other Developers, a Lead, a Product Manager, and a QA Engineer) to help develop and manage our third-party APIs, such as Quickbooks and Twilio, and text/email functionality. Our Engineering Team as a whole consists of 13 Developers, 4 QA Engineers, and 4 Product Managers.

In this role, you will:

• Build full stack, highly customized systems, from scalable backend services to frontend projects.
• Plan, architect, and implement enhancements, and in some cases, new products.
• Code in Ruby and Javascript.Shop-Ware proudly employs the technology of other browser-based success stories: Ruby on Rails, React, Heroku, AWS... GitHub, CircleCi, et al. Our process is iterative and agile; we release every Tuesday night.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Ruby on Rails. 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with a modern Javascript framework - we have a lot of client-side code.
• Good communication skills.
• A problem solver with a motivation for quality software craftsmanship.
