JavaScript Developer (AWS, NodeJS, NoSQL))

Our client, a software development/digital transformation agency with offices in Irvine CA and Plano TX is supporting enterprise customers with their leading edge, web technology initiatives. With a goal to introducing new platforms, and next generation web applications, they undertake proofs of concept that become custom software development services. They want to hire a JavaScript Developer to join their team of highly skilled software engineers.Remote to start but may become hybrid with 2 days of work from home, if geographically possible. Role can be long-term contract, contract to hire, or direct fulltime salaried. JOB SUMMARY: Seeking a JavaScript Developer with strong problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated knowledge of application architecture. Aside from hands-on development, this position will work collaboratively with the technical team on technical strategy and design.RESPONSIBILITIES Effectively serve as a member of Agile/Scrum software development team Translate... designs and requirements into high quality code Build and organize development workflows to optimize code delivery and efficiency Work collaboratively with the technical team on application architecture strategy Write technical specification documents Participate in code and design reviews SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field. Minimum 5 years of web application development experience · Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and commonly used libraries. TypeScript preferred.· Hands-on REST API development using Node.js. GraphQL preferred.· Experience working with NoSql databases. DynamoDB preferred.· Exposure to Serverless Framework· Knowledge of AWS technologies like API Gateway, Lambda, S3, etc· Proficient understanding of code versioning systems, such as GIT· Unit Testing experience, preferably Jest· Experience with ReactJS a bonus
