Senior Engineer - Ruby on Rails

About the role

As a Software Engineer at StructionSite, you'll build the product our customers depend on to accelerate their work in construction. We're looking for a versatile backend or full-stack developer to join our tight-knit, fully remote team. The right candidate loves overcoming new challenges, and can work quickly without compromising quality and maintainability. This is your chance to play a major role on a talented team at a fast-growing startup.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer working on production applications
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails, and a relational database like PostgreSQL
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed, self-motivated, with the ability to context-switch, prioritize, set and meet release dates, and thrive on a fully remote team

Preferred Qualifications

• Passionate about designing systems that scale
• Expert ability to define data models and APIs that fit the business domain
• Experience integrating with other apps, backend services, third-party APIs, etc.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
