Job Description:
Leidos is in search of a multi-talented Motion Graphics / Multimedia Designer to join a studio of instructional system designers, programmers, digital artists, producers, and subject matter experts in creating digital training for the United States Air Force.
You will be part of a highly skilled remote eLearning development team that is building modern training for course subjects in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, cyber fundamentals, aircraft safety, ISR aircraft maintenance, and foreign language training/assessments.
As a Motion Graphics / Multimedia Designer, you will utilize your expertise to create custom graphics to enhance the interactive digital learning experience for web-based learning management systems (LMS), classroom environments, and self-directed training.
Roles and responsibilities include:
Design visually appealing 2D elements for a cohesive look and feel of all eLearning products.
Create custom 2D... elements and motion graphics using industry-standard software and design principles.
Collaborate with a team of instructional system designers, programmers, producers, and subject matter experts to design and develop innovative graphics for engaging and effective eLearning.
Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
Drive the visual design and create motion graphics, videos, photography, and UI design for computer based training, interactive courseware, PC, and VR, training products
Manage video and photography production pipeline (pre-pro, production, post)
Create video treatments, storyboards, style frames, mood boards, typographic layouts
Collaborate with a veteran Instructional System Designer to achieve maximum engagement and effectiveness in digital training
Collaborate with a veteran Computer Based Training designer to develop innovative graphics and real time elements into Articulate 360
Lead the design and flow of video elements
Ensure compliance with government standards
Requirements
8-12 years of experience designing and developing motion graphics, creating custom 2D multimedia, and designing User Interfaces (UI).
Bachelor's degree (experience can be substituted in lieu of degree).
Provide a portfolio link that showcases previous motion graphics, 2D, and UI work.
Highly proficient in utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud applications to design and create custom content: Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Audition, Animate, XD.
Thorough understanding of 2D motion graphics design, color, flow, timing, and composition.
Must be a motivated, self-directed professional with superb written and verbal communication skills.
Strong commitment to excellence, innovation, collaboration, and a lead by example work ethic.
Ability to conduct thorough quality assurance assessments of own work.
Must be able to deliver high-quality products within a defined production schedule.
Must be willing/able to work in remote/telework environment.
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance (requires US citizenship).
Additional Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Experience developing training material for the Defense Industry.
Some game engine experience (e.g., Unity, Unreal, Maya).
Some experience creating virtual and augmented reality content.
Experience producing short informational videos.
Ability to support video and photography production pipeline (pre-pro, production, post).
3D animation, rigging, and illustration experience.
Understanding or experience utilizing photogrammetry.
Experience working with Articulate Storyline 360 or Adobe Captivate.
