Buddy Web Design & Development is a growing and entrepreneurial website design and development company headquartered in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.

Buddy has built a portfolio of clients across the United States, and is currently seeking a talented and experienced designer who would be able to help take on occasional project work as Buddy’s workload grows.

This work can be done remotely and part time, according to a schedule of your choosing, provided development milestones are met.

For this role, Buddy is searching for an independent contractor who can spearhead the visual design and layout of functional, elegant, and easy-to-use websites, that will most commonly be developed using the... WordPress platform.

Commonly Buddy develops marketing and e-commerce websites for small to mid-sized businesses that need a high end, polished, professional looking online presence.

An ideal person for this opportunity will have experience working in a freelance and independent contractor capacity, coupled with expertise in designing websites.

An ideal candidate will bring high attention to detail and best practices, a high degree of professionalism and integrity, coupled with a comfort in working in an evolving, entrepreneurial environment that can have ambiguity at times.

For full transparency, let's talk money so we can see if we're in the same ballpark : ) A typical project with Buddy might be something like designing a basic brochure-style website with around 6 pages of content, like a home page, about, services, contact, etc., with text, images, etc., all provided by the client.

Assume you'll be responsible for creating the design, making a round or two (or three) of revisions based on client feedback, and then handing over the design files to a developer who will then create the website from your designs.

Let's further assume we're going for a clean, modern, elegant and very polished look and feel.

Just ballpark, what price range would you want to charge Buddy as a subcontractor for something like this?
