THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

Has work that demonstrates the ability to research trends (marketing, social, design, product, etc.) and leverage this research and understanding to develop compelling creative concepts against creative briefs, brand guidelines, business strategies, and insights.

Presents a portfolio that leverages strong, clean, compelling design which targets customer avatars effectively.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently edit text, formatting, illustrations, and photography of existing files that have been created with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PDF, Word, and Google Drive (Docs and Slides especially)
  • Create new versions of existing designs adhering to existing style guides for social content, web imagery, and course materials
  • Collaborate through our creative process to take new projects from start to finish while communicating effectively with in-house personnel and outside agencies: stakeholders, product dev. teams, copywriters, web developers, marketing, print shops, and other colleagues, as necessary
  • Create engaging layout and design for educational materials, social media, websites, and products
  • Collaborate in maintaining brand guideline evolution in order to streamline our customer’s experience as they travel from product to product.
  • Collaborate with our team to maintain an organized and accessible archive of images, photos, and previous work products
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of graphic design experience creating files for multiple platforms including imagery for websites, social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), print collateral, and interactive PDFs with an understanding of web usability best practices and preparing files for print.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Slides. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts, Digital Design, Communications or related field
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be reliable, have exceptional attention to detail, commitment to quality design practices, and demonstrate commitment to following through.
  • Ability to ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Google Drive Software, and a presentation software such as Google Slides (preferred), PPT, or Keynote
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Have a continual focus on learning: Staying abreast of new design trends, keeping current on software, and learning new skills.
  • Experience with ASANA, Slack, and Google Calendar is a plus.
  • Must be able to provide an updated link or PDF of portfolio work samples
