We’re building real-time vision based system to automate most retail operations to provide customers with a frictionless checkout experience. Our systems use various machine learning techniques and are trained on large-scale retail user data to solve challenges like 3d human pose estimation, multi-view people tracking and action recognition etc. We build solutions to elevate retail customer experience, improve efficiency, and reduce... costs in the world of retail. We train our models on large datasets of multi-camera perspective images which enables us to build and experiment with a huge diversity of approaches. We are a mix of researchers and production engineers from all kinds of backgrounds, and find that a diversity of perspective helps the problem solving process. You’ll be designing, building and deploying machine learning solutions into production.

This is a FULL TIME remote role located anywhere in the United States.

What you'll do here:

  • Build ETL data pipelines for development and testing of Tracking algorithms on production data.
  • Data modeling to support machine learning model training and offline, batch inference workflows.
  • Help build development workflows that serve iterations of human tracking algorithms using large scale retail user data.
  • Build data pipelines to feed machine learning models for real-time and large-scale offline use cases.
  • Work closely with tracking and machine learning researchers and data scientists to scale the autonomous checkout system and explore new data sources and model features.
  • Explore new and innovative ways to scale autonomous checkout to 1000 stores

Who you are:

  • You are a proactive team player, focused on finding solutions to improve our development workflows and our products.
  • You have a strong engineering background with experience in data infrastructure and/or distributed systems.
  • You have experience as a Data Engineer/Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role
  • You have experience applying Machine Learning techniques for Computer Vision application
  • You have experience building video data pipelines and cloud based data pipelines optimized for Machine Learning applications
  • You have experience with large scale object-based storage in google cloud or AWS.
  • You are familiar with workflow management platforms like Airflow
  • You are an expert with Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as code (e.g. terraform).
