Job DescriptionOur client, a National Technology Infrastructure Integrator has and immediate opening for an Azure Consulting Architect to support a specific client engagement in the Great Midwest / Central Region US area assisting with the planning, consolidation/and cost optimization of their mature Azure environment. Location: Remote / Anywhere in US. Minimal travel to client site is involved - up to 20%Duration: Initial Engagement is 2-3 months. There will be significant follow-on work to implement the strategy once this initial project is completed. a) Improve cost management across the Azure servicesb) Provide cost reporting options to communicate ongoing and requested costs to application owners and
development teams
c) Create alerting, tagging standards, and policies to manage costs with Azure to avoid runaway or unplanned costs.
PROJECT DETAILS: 1) Provide cloud... architecture and engineering resources to support clients cloud initiatives and specific projects based on the direction of their cloud team. 2) Cost Optimization
a) Assess the current Azure services implementation, including App Services, Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and storage services.b) Provide guidance, service configurations, and automation for cost management and reporting.c) Deliverables include:i) Terraform and Azure RM templates for updated configurationsii) Azure Policies and monitoring for cost management tasks
