Geosyntec, a fast-paced and deadline-driven environmental professional services firm is seeking a creative, independent, and resourceful and experienced Graphic Designer to produce high-quality graphics to support marketing, business development, technical projects, assist with corporate initiatives, and help promote a positive image for the Geosyntec family of companies. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of concept development and execution, idea generation, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position reports to the San Diego Branch Marketing Manager and works closely with regional marketing staff and technical professionals throughout the western region (remote work option available).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the performance of the following activities:

  • Execute design concepts and apply the corporate brand elements for the Geosyntec Family of Companies efficiently to maintain overall consistency;
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical team members on the design and production of proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials (i.e., ads, brochures, proposal templates, award submissions, event collateral, digital content, etc.);
  • Storyboarding content with the Proposal Champion and Marketing Manager, and supporting the development of winning proposals through infographics, timelines, charts, etc.;
  • Create and format MS PowerPoint presentations as needed for client meetings, interviews, project deliverables, etc.;
  • Coordinate, manage, and produce multiple deliverables for various groups simultaneously;
  • Create, modify, size, edit, and color-correct high-quality graphics, images, and videos;
  • Develop layouts that effectively communicate technical concepts;
  • Support department heads with various creative needs;
  • Maintain graphic and marketing files for the San Diego Branch;
  • Assist with editing existing video footage to create storytelling marketing videos for online distribution; and
  • Other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • College diploma from a recognized institution. (required)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience preparing proposals, presentations, graphics, videos, and other supporting marketing collateral; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat. (required)
  • Proficiency using the Macintosh and PC platform. (required)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. (required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current design methods and trends. (required)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret marketing, technical, and other business documents. (required)
  • Ability to quality-check materials that are organized, clearly presented and aim to further the Geosyntec brand. (required)
  • Illustration and professional video editing software skills and basic knowledge of HTML and web content publishing. (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Premier Pro, (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, and exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills. (required)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborations with internal and external clients on graphics and video topics. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
