Engineers interested in problem solving, developing testing tools, and hardware and software interoperability get to design and implement automated tests to find bugs in our products or design plans to ensure that the products operate efficiently with all hardware and software systems. Our Storage team is seeking an Automation Engineer who will be responsible for automating test cases for Storage virtualization products (VSAN).Being part of the automation team, the engineer will need to coordinate the smooth integration of feature delivery into the product and help ship high quality VMware products. This requirement is primarily for a candidate with Python/Ruby related automation experience. Candidates with C++ and Java experience who are open to coding in Python are also considered.
Minimum/Essential Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):· Bachelors degree in computer science or Masters preferred.· Experience writing test cases in Python or Ruby· Comfortable developing in... UNIX like environments.· Excellent communication skills.· Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree in computer science preferred.Knowledge of, or experience with, Distributed systemsStrong file systems and OS storage stacks knowledge preferred.
