Wenrix just closed its A-round of financing and is embarking on the next stage of growth, requiring dedicated sales and business development leadership.

Wenrix is now seeking to hire its US GM to mainly focus on sales and business development with the top 10 of Wenrix’s potential customers in the US.

Founded in 2018, Wenrix, Fast Growing Startup, is the leading provider of automated, scalable and AI-based systems for pricing optimization to the travel industry, with leading travel management companies and online travel agencies as customers worldwide.

Wenrix’s clients are travel agencies both leisure (online travel agencies, tour operators, consolidators) and business travel (Travel management companies). . Among Wenrix’s client's tens of Tier-1 global travel agencies and Fortune-500 companies. The platform uses the most... advanced machine learning / artificial intelligence techniques to make sure air bookings are done at the best time and the best price. Other services are provided to maximize the value add and customer efficiencies and savings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The US GM reports to the CEO and is a member of the Company’s senior executive team.

The right candidate will lead Wenrix’s top 10 potential customers in the US and will be in charge of the entire sales process, business development, and partnership activities for the company with those top 10 potential clients.

  • Drives the entire sales process with top 10 US clients, from introduction calls, product demos, and Test / POC implementations to closing, including contract and pricing negotiation
  • Focus on large potential clients - the world’s largest travel management companies and online travel agencies. Identifies and reaches decision-makers and establishes the strategic sales plan to lead to successful implementations of the Wenrix platform
  • Strategic business development - identifies partnership opportunities with major players in the travel industry and eco-system that can bring distribution reach and scale or augment the core platform’s functionality
  • Understand travel market trends to develop and identify competitive strategies and sales plays that create opportunities for Wenrix and its partners
  • Drive revenue through relationships, direct sales, and channel partnerships
  • Engage with cross-department functions internally and externally to create awareness, enablement, commercial & legal frameworks, sales penetration, and marketing presence to ensure the success of strategic partnerships
  • Build and manage cross-functional relationships with the customers and partners in order to penetrate the account further by focusing on Director / C level engagements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years in the travel industry. Has preferably held a high-level position in one of the biggest travel agencies or Tier 1 Travel players in the US.
  • 10+ years experience in B2B SaaS enterprise sales position(s). Experience with developing account strategies and executing sales plans from start to finish.
  • Successful track record in senior sales and business development positions with a B2B SaaS organization that has successfully scaled globally. Has implemented complex systems within large organizations.
  • Decisive sales leader that can make fast, effective decisions and manage negotiations at a senior level with large customers and partners.
  • An understanding of the challenges in achieving ongoing long-term adoption within large global customers, an expert in driving change management within organizations.
  • The commercial acumen to understand and accurately communicate the Wenrix value proposition; capable of understanding the foundations on which the technology is built, the value proposition, and the solution offered to customers
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Familiar with the demands of a venture-backed rapidly growing and changing business model: Must have the ability to clearly communicate and maintain alignment on the strategic vision of the company on the level of both technical development and market deployment.
