Instructional Designer (Remote)

The Instructional Designer is responsible for working with Instructional Designer and Content Leads to design and develop eLearning and instructor-led learning solutions. Proven experience in delivering the following learning outputs that adhere to basic adult learning principles: assessments, eLearning solutions, instructor-led solutions, facilitator/participant guides, interactivity, outlines, storyboard, script writing.

Additional responsibilities may include testing course functionality, maintenance plans, making updates to courses and training materials based on post assessment feedback. This role ensures that high-quality, innovative, timely, and effective learning solutions are delivered.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develops and conducts needs analysis to define performance gaps, identify root cause(s) of the gaps and recommends learning and non-learning solutions to closing the gaps.
  • Designs, develops, implements, and delivers... off-the-shelf learning and development solutions that address results from needs assessments as well as short- and long-term objectives of Dell Boomi.
  • Develops training materials, including participant guides, facilitator guides, presentations, job aids, quick-reference guides, learning activities, assessments, eLearning, and audio scripts using sound instructional design principles.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and implement learning and development solutions.
  • Participates in inter-departmental team to help identify, prioritize, and address knowledge gaps.
  • Implements evaluation and measurement tools and analyzes data to continuously improve content.
  • Provides input to selection of tools and technologies for training development (new and innovative solutions)
  • Assists in developing and refining training team processes to gain efficiencies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or Adult Education
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems and SCORM
  • Understanding of Kirkpatrick and ADDIE
  • Ability to operate in a team environment as well as independently to complete work assignments on time.
  • Ability to proactively manage issues, risks, potential challenges and barriers and when to escalate them.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as excellent listening skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of four years curriculum or instructional design experience required.
  • Experience with authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SAM or other agile instructional design models.
  • Experience with accessibility features/models is a plus.
