Position Summary

The Director of Compliance is responsible for proactively managing ClickSafety’s relationships with regulatory and accrediting bodies.

ClickSafety is known for its thought leadership and you are responsible for ensuring we continue to exceed the market’s expectations for high quality and compliant content.

Your knowledge of OSHA, ANSI and EPA regulations is critical to influencing how we best serve our customers.

As the public face of ClickSafety, you are someone who is an established leader that can help drive successful relationships with our partners and customers.

You will speak at conferences, submit journal articles, create video-based toolbox talks and write a monthly blog to showcase the thought leadership that ClickSafety is known for.

The ideal candidate has a passion for the combination of safety, compliance and education.

As a member of the ClickSafety product management team, you will understand the users of our products and drive the business toward solving the customer’s pain points in the most efficient manner possible.

You are expected to be a workplace safety market expert.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

Serve as ClickSafety brand ambassador by being a thought leader in the industry which includes speaking at annual safety conferences, writing a monthly blog, creating quarterly toolbox talks and submitting journal articles on behalf of ClickSafety.

Lead regulatory compliance and management efforts.

Includes:

OSHA Outreach card signing process and relationship with OTIs

Track and understand regulatory changes and serve as SME to update content based on updated OSHA, DOT, EPA and ANSI guidelines

Serve as the liaison between regulatory agency partners (such as NYDOB) to maintain accreditation, seek new opportunities and gain knowledge of forthcoming regulatory changes

Lead successful and timely completion of all audits from accrediting bodies such as IACET

Perform as a key member of product management team.

Includes:

Create curriculum maps to drive the product roadmap based on market needs

Conduct market surveys to uncover industry and customer needs

Identify and manage subject matter experts for content creation

Work closely with cross-functional teams (including Tech &Ops, architecture, UI/UX, sales, marketing and customer service) to ensure product goals, deadlines and deliverables are met

Analysis of market needs that influences business decisions around new verticals, acquisitions, and platforms

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree is required, MPH preferred

OSHA Outreach Trainer in General Industry and Construction or willingness and ability to become trained within 6 months

Safety credentials preferred: ASP, CSP, CHMM, etc

Significant prior experience as Safety Director preferred

Background in training and education preferred

Experience with public speaking, professional writing (blogs, whitepapers, etc.) and social media presence related to workplace safety

Skills & Abilities:

Deep understanding of OSHA, DOT, EPA and ANSI guidelines as they relate to construction sites, manufacturing plants and general industry

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Conduct needs analysis, define scopes of work and apply creative problem solving

Ability to work independently and establish priorities

Ability to establish credibility and trust as a safety expert working across a matrix of internal and external stakeholders

Other Requirements (Travel, Shifts, Physical Demands, etc.):

Travel as needed to visit with clients, partners and to attend industry tradeshows and functions

Valid driver’s license and an ability to maintain business expense submissions for reimbursement.
