As the Sr. Intern Talent Acquisition Partner, you will manage Avalara's campus engagement, intern recruitment and early talent programs. Through your internal and external partnerships, you will design, build and deliver on a campus strategy that fuels Avalara's growth through an inclusive and diverse workforce.

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing a robust internship program to pipeline student candidates into full time roles, following graduation
  • Partnering with internal business groups to define and validate the demand for campus hires and promote the usage of this talent pipeline
  • Managing the talent demand-generation and requirements-gathering process internally and securing appropriate headcount approvals across multiple business units
  • Oversight of the full recruiting lifecycle of campus hires through partnership with both business groups & talent acquisition team members. This includes:
  • Analyze internal talent requirements to... determine which campuses and/or programs produce the talent necessary to fulfill in-demand talent requirements
  • Scheduling, managing and participating in on-campus activities during recruiting cycle
  • Assist in creation of marketing collateral including booth materials to promote upcoming events on-campus
  • Mobilizing and training recruiters and business leaders on recruiting processes and educating team members on specific processes to build campus candidate pipelines
  • Facilitating communication and building relationships with interview teams
  • Ensuring timely coordination of candidate movement through various systems and processes
  • Creating and fostering high-touch, one-on-one relationships with top prospects
  • Acts as project manager to create and oversee significant portion of Campus recruiting program
  • Streamline on-campus and on-site interview, selection and offer processes
  • Manage associate/internship programming, including training of managers, dissemination of information, and assessment of interns
  • Update and maintain student club, program manager, and contact lists for our target schools
  • Post job descriptions at our target schools and ensure a strong pipeline of talent
  • Maintain our candidate database and distribution lists
  • Schedule interviews with managers and serve as the point of contact for candidates.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a growing team and with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality and approach
  • Forward-thinking mentality that results in planning ahead, proactive approach to following up on tasks / activities required for campus cycles of recruiting

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of recruiting experience
  • Previous experience developing and executing campus intern recruiting programs for STEM students
  • Experience handling large requisition volumes in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
  • Accomplished communicator with experience interacting successfully at all levels
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong ability to set expectations, juggle multiple priorities, communicate early when deliverables or deadlines may be missed
  • Passion for identifying talent from diverse backgrounds, industries and experiences
