Data Scientist Intern (Summer 2022)

FieldLevel offers a paid internship for university students looking for experience practicing data science in the real world. The program runs June thru August. The internship is focused on applying machine learning to typical business problems faced by FieldLevel. Interns are paired to together to work as team. Under the direction of a senior analyst at FieldLevel, the team explores real life data generated within FieldLevel's software. The team is challenged to visualize large datasets and communicate initial findings in clear and concise reporting.
Throughout the internship practice developing hypotheses about relationships hidden in the data and learn to train models in a business setting. By the end of the program, interns gain valuable experience in several key areas of Data Science including visualization, feature engineering, model building, and the quantification of... certainty. Because of the broad scope of skills required in data science projects, we recommend applicants have prior experience with at least a few of the following: Python, R, SQL, Machine Learning, Statistics, Visualization.
