Job Details

The Advanced Azure Cloud Computing Developer Specialist will be a primary team member of the foundational Azure environment for our employees and engineering teams to leverage to deliver customer success. In this role you will help lead the definition, development and administration of an Azure environment that is used by IT and various functional business areas. You will be leading the design, development, automation, integration, testing and delivering of a well governed, compliant and secure Azure environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient understanding of Azure (Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS is a plus)
  • Proficient understanding of Azure service offerings (AWS is a plus)
  • Proficient understanding of virtualization technologies: Server, Storage, Networking
  • Proficient... understanding of computer programming languages: C, C Sharp, C++, Perl, PHP, and Python.
  • Proficient understanding of scripting languages, and software and infrastructure automation skills
  • Detailed and fully proficient knowledge of technology trends and champions new ideas and product and process improvements.
  • Experience administering systems in a virtualized Cloud environment based on Azure, AWS, VMware vRealize, vCloud Director, and NSX technologies.
  • Strong understanding of security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems and networking connectivity.
  • Experience creating templates with CloudFormation, and similar technologies.
  • Shows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects with very little direction, or can provide direction and leadership to technical teams.
  • Proficient ability to handle significant responsibility, leadership and accountability while executing complex assignments.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of systems architecture.
  • Able to accept & integrate constructive feedback
  • Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of individuals
  • Demonstrates ability to learn and apply culture, policies and processes

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related discipline is required or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.

NOTE: US Citizenship is required. We cannot work with outside agencies of any kind in filling this long term W2 hourly contract
