We are looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join our team!

Togo RV is seeking a passionate Senior Product/UX Designer to help ideate and realize an awesome user experience for RVers in our mobile app & web products. The designer will be a core... member of the Togo RV Product team, reporting to the Director of Product. You will work to understand user needs and the business strategy, then use that knowledge and experience to develop workflows, wireframes, mock-ups, and assets for product improvements that help users and the larger strategy. You will work closely with stakeholders, developers, researchers, and product managers in an agile environment to advocate for experience enhancements, build out the prioritized concepts and launch great features & improvements to the product that make a difference to our users and our business.

The ideal candidate is a creative and analytical thinker who has experience in a variety of digital environments, particularly mobile B2C products. You would be an advocate for users and design within the organization, and a member of a collaborative cross-business design group within the company. The ideal candidate loves travel and the outdoors - we’re making a product for RV owners & travelers, so get your camping hat and your driving shoes so you can hit the road!

Where You're Located:

Candidates for this role will be based in the United States and can work remotely or in our Chicago or Cincinnati offices.

Your Impact:

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, other designers, developers, and customers to plan out great solutions to customer & business needs for both small and large-scale projects and design initiatives.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions and direction. Use your past experience and good design thinking to inform strong hunches when data is not available.
  • Create wireframes and mock-up concepts that meet the customer and business needs, gather feedback on various concept directions and iterate as needed.
  • Create pixel-perfect mock-ups, icons, and assets to be used for development. Work closely with product managers, developers, and test engineers on those final designs with discussions around implementation, scope tradeoffs, and UX nuance, in an agile (Scrum) framework.
  • Inform research and testing of product and design ideas.
  • Ensure consistency and clarity of how designs fit into the product and into the larger Togo Group ecosystem. Ensure a high caliber of visual design and manifesting the brand through the user experience.
  • Understand how your work feeds into the strategy and articulate how your work achieves our wider company initiatives.
  • Contribute to the strategic thinking and prioritization with the rest of the Product team.
  • Keep leadership and project teams informed of project status against agreed-upon timeframes.
  • Escalate issues that may compromise product performance to the team.

What You’ve Done Before:

  • 4+ years in design, 2+ in product/UX design and 2+ years leading large-scale design projects
  • Experience in interaction design, mobile app design, B2C products, and working in a Scrum environment
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (such as Figma, Sketch, Invision Studio)
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, preferably – but not mandatory if you can demonstrate the requisite skills and experience.
  • Passion for identifying and solving user problems
  • Relentlessness for asking “why” at least 5 times
  • Facility with data (experience with medium-to-large-scale survey data, etc)
  • Keen product instincts kept in check with a strong eye towards grounding ideas in the user’s truth
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience working with highly technical teams
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, highly-dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
