Description
As a member of the Enterprise Big Data & Analytics team for the Formula One platform, we’re looking for DevOps Engineers with proven expertise in building end-to-end deployment solutions. Your role will involve gathering requirements from stakeholders, assessing the technology/tools, and building the deployment pipeline keeping best practices in mind. You must have strong experience in... cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring and alerting, and incident management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, architect, and implement cloud automation using modern CI/CD tools and cloud services
- Deep understanding of optimizing infrastructure around performance, reliability, security, governance, and cost
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident management to ensure production services meet their committed SLAs
REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to implement short-term tactical objectives without losing sight of the long-term strategic vision of the organization
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to demonstrate and defend automation solutions to non-technical stakeholders and management teams
- Ability to automate problems away by identifying areas of hand-offs and friction between development and operations teams
- Required technical skills
- 5+ years of experience in building cloud infrastructure and automating software delivery including unit testing, integration testing, zero downtime deployments
- Proven ability to design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable system deployments using modern CI/CD practices
- Hands-on experience on AWS, Jenkins (or equivalent), Docker, and Kubernetes ecosystem
- Monitoring systems: Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, or ELK stack, and working knowledge of APMs
- Basic knowledge of building Serverless architectures in AWS and deployment best practices
- Very good knowledge of AWS services and their configuration. The ideal candidate would be AWS Certified
- Proficiency with Linux, preferably Ubuntu and Amazon Linux
- Scripting experience with Bash and Python. Application development experience in Python or Go is a definite plus
- Experience in infrastructure provisioning with Packer, Ansible/Chef, and Terraform/CloudFormation
- Knowledge of network infrastructure basics for e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routers, load-balancers, etc
- Minimum requirements on AWS
- Solid experience with basic AWS services: EC2, VPC, LB, S3, CloudTrail, Route53, RDS, SQS, SES, Lambda, and CloudWatch
- Proficiency with AWS CLI and SDK (in any language)
- Working knowledge of AWS Well-architected principles is a bonus
