OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a Technical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist, who’ll utilize your understanding of search engines and web development to impact our overall website health, indexability, and technical tactics for SERP (Search Engine Results Page) rankings. You are forward-thinking and are always looking to test new ideas. Most importantly, you believe in the core values that drive our day-to-day operations. You'll travel to our Stevens Point, WI and Madison, WI offices as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct SEO audits by analyzing outputs from reporting tools to uncover issues related to web crawling, JavaScript rendering, etc. Offer recommendations to Marketing leadership and implement changes to enhance overall site and search performance.
  • Update webpages and execute new page builds through utilization of the content management system, ensuring an effective and timely product is brought to market.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize site... infrastructure, sitemaps, robots.txt file, pagination, page response codes, meta data, internal linking, schema markup, core web vitals, and other factors.
  • Work closely with IT on redirect strategies to ensure page pathing is functioning properly. Manage website tests across browsers, operation systems, and devices to ensure all sites are running effectively.
  • Report out to SEO leadership on technical SEO improvements and the impact of the changes.
  • Analyze site performance through the utilization of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Uncover insights through your quantitative and qualitative findings. Make recommendations to Marketing leadership.

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Degree in Computer Science or related field is ideal.
  • E-commerce experience
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Mobile website experience.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems.
  • Understanding of web standards.
  • Experience in data models and creating best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
  • Experience working with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Tableau, Excel, Screaming Frog, and Deep Crawl. Experience working with Enterprise level tools like Bright Edge or Conductor is a plus.
