As a Regulatory Scientist in the Biocide Regulatory Team at Stepan, you will join a dynamic regulatory team responsible for managing regulatory matters related to Stepan's biocide portfolio of antimicrobial pesticides. This position has primary responsibility for
US EPA FIFRA label review for Stepan's network of formulators and sub-registrants, supporting continued growth in disinfectant demand, upcoming mandatory label review projects, and audit and risk mitigation activities. The position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of professionalism.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Support Stepan's Biocide Network and License Approval Process: Work within Stepan Biocide Regulatory Team to manage Stepan's biocidal formulator and sub-registrant network to ensure compliance with US EPA FIFRA regulations. Key responsibilities include:

a. Facilitate activation of applicable licensing agreements.
b. Participate in sub-registrant label... review process, reviewing sub-registrant labels against the EPA Master Labels. Clear communication, priority setting, and attention to detail are essential skills for working with sub-registrants to obtain a final approved label.
c. Participate in sub-registrant label review process for upcoming EPA Master Label updates, including those for addition of SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 related claims.
d. Participate in special label review projects, an example being the mandatory label updates that will be required as part of the EPA PDCI program.
e. Respond to customer, sales, and business inquiries in support of biocide regulatory activities.

Support Stepan's Biocide Formulator Audit Program: As part of the biocide formulator network, Stepan maintains an audit program with our formulators. This Regulatory Scientist role will perform label review in support of the audit program. Key responsibilities include:

a. All in-commerce product labels are reviewed against the EPA Master Label as part of the audit program. The Regulatory Scientist participates in this review to ensure that all current labels are in compliance with the EPA Master Label. A Final Audit report is issued documenting the corrective actions and procedural changes made.

Qualifications

Must have 1 - 3 years of experience in U.S. EPA FIFRA label review.

    Education

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology or other related science
