Payroll Analyst This position will be remote working Eastern Time Zone hours Our client is a Global Fortune 500 company and pioneering technology leader with five focused business units: Electrification, Industrial Automation, Motion, Power Grids, and Robotics & Discrete Automation. Their technology leadership continues to facilitate developments in areas such as ultra-high-voltage power transmission, enabling smart grids and enhancing eco-efficiency.The Payroll Analyst demonstrates in depth knowledge in regards to US payroll laws and regulations and is responsible for... monitoring payroll activities internally and externally. This individual will collectively collaborate with the team to proactively monitor internal controls while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll processing.Processes end-to-end payroll activities, including off-cycle payrolls and ensures that all employee earnings and deductions, at point of final calculation, are accurate and are made in compliance with payroll wage and tax legal requirements and company internal compensation policies within payroll system.Performs reconciliations, audits, and overpayment recovery activities.Administers garnishments and partners with 3rd party (ADP) to ensure garnishments are processed accurately and timely. Resolves ServiceNow (AskHR) cases accurately and timely, while also providing exceptional customer service. Collaborates with team along with various workstreams to resolve employee inquiries/cases within the SLA timeframe. Documents the source, seeks proper approvals, determines any necessary transactions & documents them according to company policies that will effectively substantiate action(s) taken. Resolves payroll issues and provides expert payroll knowledge regarding special payrolls, garnishments, and taxation.Ensures compliance with company policies, regulations, wage and tax laws, segregation of duties, SOX and other federal and state legislation impacting payroll. Provides payroll guidance and awareness of applicable changes and provides appropriate recommendations.Streamlines and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); recommends and implements improvements and provides solutions to Human Resources and Finance.Supports business process strategies for end-to-end Payroll processes to achieve efficiency, productivity and improved control.Creates ad-hoc payroll data reports and provides accurate data to management and business partners as neededActs as a subject matter expert for researching, troubleshooting and resolving payroll integration and production issues, applying leading practices and ensuring long-standing solutions.Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot, configure, test and implement efficient system solutions. Develops system test cases that include regression testing. Submits change or enhancement requests when necessary, such as new wage types and compliance updates.Responsible for 100% compliance with the internal controls over pay, as assigned to this position and promotes solid and effective internal controls as a vital and necessary component of payroll processing.Assists with Year-End payroll processing activities.Assists with tax related discrepancies and inquiries.Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Qualifications High School diploma and 4 years of experience within a HR/Payroll/Finance related role; OR Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience within a HR/Payroll/Finance related role; OR Master's degree and 2 years of experience within a HR/Payroll/Finance related role (CPP certification preferred)Knowledge of payroll methods, touch points, end-to-end processing steps, and best practices; up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour lawsHands-on experience with multi-state and multi-company payrollProficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and other MS Office applicationsSAP and Workday payroll module experience Employees are eligible for the following benefits:DentalVisionHealth401KWe thank all candidates for their application, however only those that qualify will be contacted
