Salary: $ 41,620.32

Job Location: Although part of the centralized training team, the position can work from anywhere in the Kansas City, Southwest or Southeast regions of Missouri.

The Children’s Division is seeking applications for the position of Staff Development Training Specialist.

What You’ll Do

  • This position provides required training to staff regarding policy, procedures, and programs which ensures Children’s Division maintains COA accreditation.
  • The position is also responsible for providing feedback and aids in development and delivery of new and revised training materials.
  • In addition, as COVID has changed our classroom training abilities, this position is responsible for contributing to the development and adaption of our trainings to virtual opportunities as well as moving forward key priorities from the Division, Department, and Safety Task Force.

Minimum Qualifications

  • One year as a Staff Development Trainer in a Missouri Merit... System agency.

OR

  • Bachelor's degree with two or more years of full-time experience in one or more of the areas described below;
  • Professional or technical employment, the major duties of which have involved the use of training techniques in a business, industrial, governmental, or military setting.
  • Professional teaching experience at the high school level or above.
  • Educational administrative involving responsibility for curriculum planning and the supervision of a teaching staff.
  • Responsible supervisory experience in a professional supervisory classification in a Missouri Merit System agency in activities directly related to areas for which training in that agency is to be provided.

(One year of graduate work in education, public, or business administration, the social sciences, or closely related areas may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Employment in any of the areas of qualifying experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.)
