Position Summary

The Professional Development (PD) Implementation Support Specialist delivers the full suite of Wit & Wisdom professional development sessions, delivers virtual and onsite, job-embedded coaching, and fosters long-term relationships with teachers and school leaders implementing Wit & Wisdom. This role is an exceptional opportunity for skilled instructional coaches, school leaders, and district leaders who have experience implementing Wit & Wisdom and delivering professional development at the district, state, or national level. The PD Implementation Support Specialist works as part of a regionally-based team supporting district partners to successfully implement Great Minds curricula with fidelity. This role will work to support Cincinnati Public Schools. While the ideal candidate will work well independently, this will also be a highly collaborative position, necessitating a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver full suite of virtual and in-person Wit & Wisdom
    professional development sessions, making necessary adjustments to ensure participant success
  • Provide virtual and onsite (up to an estimated 90 days per year), job-embedded coaching support for teachers and school leaders
  • Provide feedback on the development of facilitator-support resources, professional development content, and coaching materials
  • Build supportive, collegial relationships with Great Minds implementation stakeholders, including teachers, school leaders, and district leaders
  • Provide timely communication and feedback with Great Minds supervisor related to priorities, risks, and challenges relevant to Great Minds and its mission
  • Deliver additional professional development assignments outside of the assigned region as needed
  • Exemplify Great Minds culture in all work environments, with an emphasis on trust, collegiality, continuous improvement, and quality
  • At least 3 years of experience teaching in or coaching teachers in a school or district using Wit & Wisdom
  • At least 1 year of experience delivering high-quality, knowledge-rich professional development at a school, district, state, or national level
  • Willingness to remain at a coaching site for three days per week in the Cincinnati metropolitan area
  • Facility working with tools required within digital spaces (e.g. Google Suite, Zoom, Canvas, etc.)
  • Proven ability to form supportive, collegial relationships with Great Minds implementation stakeholders including teachers, school leaders, and district leaders
