In this role, you have the opportunity to

Contribute to the transformation of Quality Compliance Learning to enable and drive rapid didactic content development (develop/maintain templates, solution tool training and update/maintain training). You will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality training content in multiple formats such as interactive eLearning, videos, instructor-led content, virtual classroom, tool training, job aids, study guides, and simulations. As the instructional designer, you must be able to immerse yourself into the content and utilize storytelling to enhance the learning. Our vison of learning goes above copying and pasting the text into the authoring tool to create an engaging experience for the learner.

You are responsible for

  • Manage and execution of the end-to-end process of assigned projects including but not limited to the need’s analysis, designing, development and deployment
  • Conduct needs assessments and create measurable learning... objectives
  • As an Instructional Designer and online learning developer, you will act as an internal consultant utilizing eLearning software and training authoring tools to implement advanced online and blended learning solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design, develop and deploy interactive learning solutions
  • Create all supporting multimedia assets to develop learning solutions. Including but not limited to: audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, exams, assessments, podcasts, job aids, reference materials, and other learning activities using knowledge of adult learning and authoring tools such as Articulate 360/Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign), Camtasia, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word), and standard audio and video editing
  • Apply relevant learning design and instructional design theory to ensure a robust design approach
  • Propose creative solutions to design that are relevant, engaging and effective for our organization
  • Keep current with training and learning industry trends, best practices, new technologies, and emerging innovations.
  • Develop learning solutions which are engaging and creative, while maintaining the instructional integrity and validity of the solutions.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) testing of courses prior to their release
  • Experience in a regulated environment a plus

Quality Compliance Learning sits in the Global Quality function. The Global Quality team supports compliance to worldwide medical device regulations throughout Philips through executing risk-based internal audits and providing resources to businesses and markets to assist them in addressing any compliance issues. The Quality Compliance Learning team develops and deploys common standards and procedures throughout Philips, including delivery of associated employee training. Team members are located throughout the world, and this position will be based in the United States.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in instructional design or a related degree required
  • Minimum of 4+ years’ experience designing and implementing digital learning solutions
  • Experience with Articulate 360, specifically Storyline, required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative instructional approaches in a variety of learning solutions
  • Project management experience, ability to collaborate with a team and stakeholders, communicate effectively, and paying attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources and create a learner centric experience that leverages innovative solutions
  • Ability to leverage storytelling to enhance the learner experience
  • Knowledge of Camtasia and Adobe products including Presenter, InDesign, Photoshop/Illustrator preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented, data-driven environment
  • Strong knowledge of audio and video recording and production
  • Strong knowledge of learning and instructional design methodologies
  • Knowledge adult learning principles, including how to apply them in the design process
  • Graphic creation/editing experience
