As the Director, Strategic Initiatives, Provider Strategy & Engagement you will work in tandem with and under the direction of the SVP, Provider Strategy & Engagement. In this role, the Director will conduct business environment environmental scans, monitor market trends, evolving care provider responses to the environment, assist with or directly create strategic and tactical plans to support the achievement of... Naviguard s mission, vision and strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Provider Strategy and Engagement leadership to develop/refine and implement strategic and tactical plans to reduce the cost of care of out of network providers of interest;
  • Work with various cross functional teams to conduct analysis of root causes, reporting metrics, key performance indicators, create dossiers, and engage in other analytic and reporting development as necessary;
  • Assist negotiation team to develop strategies, tactics and techniques to advance the frontline negotiation process;
  • Assist arbitration and legal teams to develop strategies and tactics to advance and prevail in arbitrations;
  • Work aggressively and effectively to resolve gaps and issues and keep the department projects and objectives on track;
  • Work in a matrixed structure within PSE to support other teams as necessary;
  • Represent SVP of PSE in meetings and discussions as appropriate;
  • Participate in the board meeting preparation process, by synthesizing information and creating board meeting materials in collaboration with the CEO s office;
  • Develop and maintain internal and external business partner relationships;

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance or related field;
  • 5+ year experience in healthcare provider negotiation and contracting;
  • Possess a deep understanding of the healthcare delivery system with an emphasis on the out-of-network healthcare market landscape;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in either a payor or large, integrated healthcare delivery system;
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing;
  • 5+ or more years of combined experience in healthcare delivery system management, business and financial analysis, relationship management and strategy development;
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to develop/recommend solutions through research and analysis of data and business process and implement when appropriate;
  • Project management background and knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven management and organizational skills including coordination of project activities, scope management, cross functional issue resolution, and status reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically with external and internal constituents
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments
  • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability to work with minimal guidance; seeking guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Possess advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Invigorated by change
