Data from our platform is used to improve building layout & design, execute dynamic workforce strategies, and reduce energy costs. For large clients, the financial impact is in the tens of millions per year. We provide a full-stack solution comprised of easy-to-deploy AI-sensors, fleet management tools, analytics software, and APIs that integrate with the leading workplace management systems on the market.
The Role
VergeSense is seeking to hire a UX lead to help design products and experiences that are shaping how people interact with physical space. VergeSense aims to simplify the complexities of... IOT and Data for enterprises and their workspaces. The role will help shape the foundations of UX at VergeSense and own and evolve the end to end VergeSense experience for our users.
What You'll Do
Define and create the foundational user experiences leading workplace analytics platform. Help revolutionize understanding of physical space and how offices of the future are measured, managed, and optimized to meet the needs of enterprises and their employees.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering leads and inspire the creation of a seamless user experience from data to action for our users.
Plan and conduct user research through interviews, observations, usability tests, etc to identify opportunities, pain points, and needs of our users.
Produce personas, journey maps, research reports, and other artifacts to communicate analyses to team members.
Define user problems and ideate solutions to solve them.
Prototype designs for stakeholder feedback and testing, using low-high fidelity prototypes as appropriate.
Produce production ready designs and provide guidance to engineers during implementation.
Create and maintain our UX/UI design system to ensure consistency in all of VergeSense physical and digital experiences.
What You'll Need
Deep customer empathy. We value spending time with our customers and prospects. You enjoy getting to know the people who use (or may use) our products, and you care deeply about their success to advocate for their needs.
5+ years of professional product design experience
Well rounded portfolio of work that demonstrates solutions to difficult UX problems. Must be able to show user-centered design principles with real world use cases during the interview process.
Experience with modern design software - Figma, Sketch, inVision, etc.
Love UX research. You have performed and are comfortable running multiple types of UX studies and tests, and are confident that you could pick up new methodologies as needed.
Comfortable using both quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions.
Adaptable. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, bringing order from chaos, and adapting to changing priorities as new information becomes available.
BONUS
Experience working on technical B2B SaaS solutions.
Able to code and work comfortably with CSS and UI frameworks is a big plus.
