We are looking for an experienced hands-on DevOps Engineer or Technical Architect who is passionate about teaching, development and technical mentorship to help maximize the skillsets of Petabloc’s cloud consultancy team as our internal Technical Training and Development Manager.

This is a new position, so we are looking for someone with the motivation, drive and relevant experience to build our training and development methodology from the ground up.

Recent, hands-on, high-level experience with DevOps and Infrastructure tools is essential.

This is a full-time, salaried position that is 100% remote (US only).

RoleAs the Technical Training and Development Manager, you will be responsible for the technical mentorship, guidance and development of our rapidly growing team of Platform Engineers.

This includes establishing ramp-up programs for new hires, continuing training and evaluation for existing employees, and developing Petabloc into the learning organization we hope to become.ResponsibilitiesCreate and implement a robust, dynamic, effective ramp-up process for new hires.

Build an engaging continuing training and development program for existing employees, including regular working sessions.

Develop a constructive technical evaluation process for new and current hires.

Establish technical best practises, including documentation.

Provide day-to-day technical guidance, advice and troubleshooting for employees working on client projects.

Provide meaningful feedback to the management team regarding employees’ technical performance and development.

Stay up to date on industry trends and technology in the DevOps space.
