DESIGN AT H1
Designers are crucial to the success of H1. They participate in strategic decisions/solutions, lead the full lifecycle of their designs across all platforms, collaborate with product managers on strategy, participate in research to discover solutions and validate designs, and consult with engineering to make their ideas come to life. Our team is small and nimble, yet growing fast with backing of executive leadership. A “seat at the table” isn’t a question at H1, it’s implied in the organizational structure. Team leads from design, product, and tech drive product pods forward to achieve product goals and milestones.
Role
- You’ll drive H1’s visual language and user experience from the ground up.
- You’ll solidify visual style... typography, spacing, motion, and interaction principles. You’ll establish interaction patterns via components, documentation, and prototypes. You’ll work with frontend engineering specialists to maintain and create new components.
- You’ll help organize and manage a backlog of design system compenentry.
- You’ll drive alignment, manage stakeholders and participate in defining project scope and deliverables.
- You’ll think holistically about the user experience and product ecosystem regardless of scope.
- You’ll participate in user research and testing, ensuring usability and product consistency.
- You’ll create work that scales and flexes across a variety of global audiences, abilities, devices, platforms and meets accessibility standards. You’ll work with our brand designers to incorporate H1’s tone of voice into the visual design of the product
- You’ll promote and evangelize consistency and coherence across our design system, and identify areas for improvements.
- You'll collaborate with Product, Research, Engineering, and Customer Success to help identify the needs of our customers, tirelessly iterate, and ship world-class solutions.
