We are searching for a VP of Product Marketing to lead the team responsible for the messaging and positioning for our outstanding customer engagement platform, powering brands like Lyft, Morgan Stanley and Nordstrom. This team sits at the interface between sales and product management and is tasked with ensuring that Twilio is consistently viewed as the most relevant brand in the market.

  • *Who?**

  • People leadership: How you encourage your team and influence your peers is essential - tell us your stories, how you’ve built and motivated teams to accomplish big tasks. You know that success comes from consistently reinforcing strong product marketing fundamentals with your team.
  • Product Curiosity: You relish working with product teams... to evaluate the competitive landscape, unlock new markets and position your company to win.
  • Creativity: What's the last product you’ve marketed? How have you made a company and its products relevant to the intended audience and the market at-large.
  • Metrics: Everything we do is grounded in metrics. Having a decent understanding of the developer journey as well as pipeline dynamics will be critical to your success in this role. You will be driven not by simple quantity of assets produced, but by the impact of those assets. You know how to measure and evaluate metrics around traffic and lead generation impact, along with asset usage by the Sales team.
  • *Bonus points:**
  • Familiarity with communications technologies and how they work. You understand VoIP, WebRTC, Messaging, solutions such as IVR and contact center, and how to provide great quality communication experiences.
  • Developer targeted cloud services & technologies
  • You've worked in enterprise software and with technology products that have targeted enterprises via direct, online, and channel strategies.
  • You have extensive experience working with large enterprise sales teams.
  • You can build a Twilio app yourself.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well.

Salary: $240-260k

  • *Non-Sales:** Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
