Position : Art Director - Web
Contract: 6+ Months
Duties: Art direction and copy direction work collaboratively under the guidance of the creative director to establish a singular emotional footprint. An art director executes against a strategy to visually evoke the right emotional connection and experience with the target audience. An art director conceptually creates a visual framework and set of standards which can either establish a brand from scratch or mature a brand from its current state, then helps steer the project vision and all the elements within the visual standards for consistency of the intended emotional connection of storyline.
Scope of the work is broad in media application and can include designing or directing all or parts of small to medium campaigns for mid-profile accounts under the guidance of the creative director which entail mid-level strategic and tactical thinking, applied psychology, storytelling, and advanced understanding of design principles as... well as advanced technical abilities in design to create and communicate visual standards. The candidate will have high-level technical skills in storyboarding, layout, style direction for photography/videography/illustration, web design, and will possess moderate skills in project leadership, people management and presentation of work in order to present to project teams and clients their conceptual ideas, and provide vision and details of how a story is to be visually told.
Skills:
The candidate has an established portfolio which distinguishes their conceptual ideas and storytelling ability, their stylistic and technical strengths, their interactive execution, and has received industry awards/recognition for their work. They will have familiarity with and exposure to a wide range of mediums such as print, web, interactive, video or film, exhibit, outdoor advertising, guerrilla marketing, and will have mid- to advanced expertise in two or more of these areas. Typically a candidate will have a BFA in advertising design, graphic design, or visual communications with 5+ years experience.
Skills :
Formulates concepts, develops and designs a variety of web sites for individual financial advisors, branches, departments and global brand throughout the firm.
Develop interactive media HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, .AS, Bootstrap framework.
Sitecore experience preferred
Works with project/account managers and/or directly with clients to determine style and online/multi-media technique(s) best suited to produce desired effects within budget.
Working with a creative director, self-directed management of deadlines and client expectations for projects through regular and ongoing communication.
May create storyboards and prototypes for animated and interactive experiences.
Collaborate with project/account managers and traffic coordinator in preparation of cost estimates for projects.
Stays current on trends of design trends and software enhancements.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Art, Fine Arts, Graphic Design or related discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the interactive design field.
