Marathon TS is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer Lead for a program supporting the Client.

Clearance Requirements - U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Public Trust and complete Client Security Clearance; Ability to obtain Client EOD suitability or Current Client EOD highly preferred.
Skills: Provide expert technical leadership to manage, monitor, and ensure the highest level of availability of all operational systems and infrastructure within DBIS
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject and at least 5 years of experience maintaining and administering infrastructure of IT systems comparable to DBIS.
Certification in one of the following: AWS, Apache, Spark, Big Data, Data Bricks, Informatica, Oracle.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and efficient support in the planning and implementation for new applications, products and tools.
  • Support operating systems upgrades, new releases, and... ongoing maintenance for these systems.
  • Integrate existing applications, products and tools into the production environment.
  • Review these products, applications, etc., for operational readiness to ensure that they can accept operational responsibility, considering both technical and business perspectives, before Operations accepts them for operational control.
  • Collect metrics and performance statistics to optimize and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance.
  • Perform end-to-end monitoring for all applications, with the ability to provide dashboards for different audiences including developers, business users and system administrators.
  • Provide reports on an ad-hoc basis for trending analysis of utilization of all components of the infrastructure.
  • Provide operations and maintenance to servers, databases, enterprise infrastructure applications and tools, and mission critical enterprise applications.
  • Maintain a Gold Image build with security hardening, according to Client hardening requirements as a baseline for all server builds.
  • Perform Operating System (OS) tasks such as OS installation, upgrades, patches, fixes, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide automation, continuous improvement recommendations and implementation for all patching services.
  • Provide infrastructure requirements for all environments and details for the installation of hardware.
  • Work closely with the engineering, network, and development teams to establish detailed and documented information required for systems and application integration into production environment and for the acceptance for ongoing O&M.
  • Provide oversight, technical guidance, monitor activities, coordinate work between various teams, and manage all Hosting work.
  • Provide bi-weekly Infrastructure health checks.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of analysis-related to design, development, and integration of hardware and software to support large scale Windows/Unix/Linux environments.
  • Professional-level skills focused on the data center solutions, technologies and best practices to design, implement, and manage a modern data center infrastructure.
  • 5 years' experience testing large scale Windows/Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience performing a variety of engineering and operational related assignments associated with SAN and Storage operations, and virtualization software (VMware's vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V0) on a set of enterprise-level IT systems.
  • 5 years' experience writing scripts with a scripting language.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes.
  • Experienced in AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Services, and other Cloud environments.
  • Experience in supporting infrastructure/cloud/datacenter operation services and can see the "big picture" while focusing on the data center solutions.
  • Working knowledge of numerous vendors' products such as Cisco, VMware, Windows/Unix/Linux environments, VMware's vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V on a set of enterprise-level IT systems and DevOps and ITIL processes.
