Roles and Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Designer, you demonstrate innovative thinking and drive creative solutions that ensure project goals are met. As a lead on projects, you mentor and guide our Product Designers, as you establish project objectives and direction. You work autonomously, delegate tasks to supporting designers, and work with other project leads to make important project decisions. You challenge the agency benchmark for quality of work... output, and you inspire and share your knowledge with the rest of the team. Other responsibilities include...

  • Lead projects and delegate tasks to supporting designer(s)
  • Oversee the delivery of supporting designers’ tasks to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Ensure project documentation is provided and accessible to the project team and client
  • Make Department-specific project decisions
  • Communicate effectively with clients
  • Recommend changes and improvements to Department processes
  • Mentor an Intern or Contributor level Designer
  • Assist in the creation of pitch and RFP presentations, delivering conceptual work with oversight from a Lead or Principal
  • Collaborate with the Development team to deliver projects and ensure your vision is carried through to final product launch
  • Collaborate with the Product team to ensure the best user experience solutions are being produced and product goals are being met
  • Work with Product and Design team peers to create project architecture documents including Sitemaps, Workflows, Schematics, Wireframes, and Blueprints

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has 5+ years of experience acting in a creative role and at least 2 years working in a creative agency environment
  • Has an exceptional portfolio of shipped products (focused primarily on iOS or Android native application design), containing examples of highly usable and beautiful software that solves problems you can effectively articulate
  • Has a good understanding of current industry trends
  • Understands and has worked in an agile team environment
  • Has read Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines or Google’s Material Guidelines thoroughly enough to spot when something’s out of place, and when to break the mold
  • Possesses strong abilities with Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Has a deep knowledge of modern iOS, Android, Web, and OS X interface conventions
  • Has experience in some of the following areas: CRM, team workflow, activity feeds, visualizations/BI/analytics, native iOS mobile, email design, and responsive web
  • Is exceptionally detailed with excellent oral and visual communication skills, and is comfortable in client-facing situations, primarily when presenting your own or others’ creative work
  • Likes to play with motion and inject alternative creative solutions to solve problems
